STRAY BULLET GETS GRAND PREMIERE

Acclaimed Lebanese film Stray Bullet (Rsasa Taycheh) premiered January 17 in a red carpet event hosted by Fransabank at Grand Cinemas ABC and attended by patron of the arts Minister of Tourism Salim Wardeh.

Winner of four international awards, including First Prize Muhr Arab award at the Dubai International Film Festival, Stray Bullet stars celebrated actress and filmmaker Nadine Labaki as Noha, a woman torn between society’s expectations and her own desires. Based in 70s era Northern Beirut, the story is masterfully woven by director Georges Hachem.

During the star-spangled event held Monday, the film’s entire cast and crew mingled with over 500 guests and enthusiastic representatives of the press.

Stray Bullet opens across all Grand Cinemas theatres starting January 20.

PLOT: End of summer 1976, Northern suburb of Beirut. Noha is about to get married. Her family is relieved to see her take advantage of this last chance before officially becoming a spinster like her sister. Everything seems to be going well... until a special Sunday in August. On the same evening that her brother is organising a dinner in her honour, and 15 days before the wedding, Noha changes her mind.
